200 children start their school term without worries.
The second term of study this year started from late May and will end in early August. This is an interesting term where most schools have their sports day in which children in different houses (groups) compete in a wide range of sports from athletics, football, netball among other games. Many children discover and confirm their talents during these sports events.
Also, for student in finalist classes such as Primary Seven, Senior Four and Senior Six, this is the school term in which they sit for their Mock examinations as they prepare for their Final Examinations in the third term. These Mock examinations help students discover areas in their study that need improvement or solidifying to get the best results in their Final Examinations.
Many students and pupils do not perform well in their Mock examinations and even in sports just because of the lack of their basic requirements. You can imagine a child writing their examinations and a pen running out of ink, just because it is the only pen they have been using since the beginning of the term. Or you can imagine, the child not being at their very best in a sports competition just because they have been struggling and feeling discouraged through out the term without enough books and pens or school bag. Little as these things may seem, they indeed affect children at school.
As Ceasar Smile Foundation, by the grace of God and with the support of our donors we successfully provided scholastic materials to a total of 200 children. These children are in different classes ranging from Primary One to Senior Six. The scholastic materials varied according to the level of education of the children. However, the list of scholastic materials given out include: books, reams of paper, school bags, pens, pencils. In support of the girl child, girls were provided with sanitary items to help keep them in school.
